DOZENS of dead animals were seized from two East Lancashire homes in a swoop by RSPCA officers and police.

More than 70 animals - including otters and badgers - were taken from taxidermist Jack Crewdson's home, at Tockholes.

Scores of stuffed animals were also seized from the home of a collector in Cherry Tree. They were understood to have included owls, water rats, badgers and merlins.
