DOZENS of dead animals were seized from two East Lancashire homes in a swoop by RSPCA officers and police.
More than 70 animals - including otters and badgers - were taken from taxidermist Jack Crewdson's home, at Tockholes.
Scores of stuffed animals were also seized from the home of a collector in Cherry Tree. They were understood to have included owls, water rats, badgers and merlins.
Converted for the new archive on 14 July 2000. Some images and formatting may have been lost in the conversion.
