SUPREME Frames reached the semi finals with a two-run victory over close rivals Millennium at Accrignton Cricket Club.

Batting first, Supreme Frames reached 116-3, thanks to opener Waqas Ali, whose 68 included 10 fours and two sixes. At the end of Millennium's first over, the target seemed a formality after Arshad Hussain set about Asim Hussain's bowling, hitting his first two balls for six, 23 runs coming from the over.

Matloob Khan hit back for Supreme, dismissing run machine Nadeem Ashraf for six. Arshad's whirlwind innings ended next, falling to Khizer Rehman for 25, scored in only nine balls and containing three sixes in his first four balls.

Zafar Aslam then came on and destroyed the Millennium innings, taking 3-17 in his two over stint as Millennium crashed to 59-5. With four overs remaining, Millennium required a seemingly impossible 53 to win with last man Zahid Aslam at the crease.

The run rate gradually increased, after some uncertain running between the wickets, until 20 were required to win off Safdar's last over. In the end Millennium finished three runs short after a valiant 45 not out by Zahid Aslam had taken his team to the brink of an unlikely win.

Taverners B complete the semi final line up after a 28 run win over Everest Juniors. Jack Taylor continued his run of scores with 62, putting on 77 with Mark Maden (31) for the second wicket. I Khan recorded the best ever bowling figures in the competition, taking 4-10 for the Great Harwood team. Jack Taylor also starred with the ball, taking 2-15 as Everest Juniors were restricted to 94-5, Mahmood ul Hassan top scoring with 40.
