YOUNG Katie Ellis' driving ambition took her to Silverstone.
The 11-year-old from Oswaldtwistle was the only girl in the country to compete in the cadets' section of the British kart grand prix.
At speeds reaching 60mph, she took on a field of around 40 kart-mad boys. Katie first became interested in kart-racing at the age of seven.
