LEIGH RMI had to twice come from behind to keep their unbeaten pre-season record intact.
Saturday's 2-2 draw with Solihull means they have now won four and drawn two of their six friendlies in the run-up to the new season.
The arduous schedule is taking its toll with manager Steve Waywell unable to pick his strongest side.
"I have nine players sidelined through injury and it told in the first half," he said. "But the second was much more satisfying."
The Midlands outfit went in front after just eight minutes. Then, just before the break, Steve Jones had an effort blocked and Brian Ross hit the rebound over the top.
RMI look to have unearthed a real gem in Jones who levelled in the 57th minute with a 20-yard shot after a solo run.
Solihull went ahead again, but, with the game moving into injury time, Jones produced another piece of magic, setting up Ian Monk to hammer home.
