ST ANNES IV took maximum points against a young Blackpool IV side weakened by late withdrawals in their Fylde League division 2 game on Saturday (July 31).
Batting first, St Annes declared at 169-6, while Blackpool could only amass the measly total of 30.
Although he suffered a rare failure with the bat (12), Duncan Webb took two stunning slip catches and enjoyed an eight-over spell which brought him 4-13.
There were five more excellent catches from St Annes' youngsters and top bowling support from Dave Gamble with 3-10.
Earlier, St Annes looked rocky at 28-2, but opener Paul McCabe batted with great sense and patience for 36.
Fellow opener Mick Auty looked in great touch for a quick 20 and Adam Duxbury, too for 18.
Honours, though, went to Mike Hartley for a maiden 50 (53 not out) reaching it in the grand manner with an imperious six.
