A HEYSHAM mother has appealed to the heartless thieves who stole her camcorder to return a "priceless" film of her baby and late grandmother.

Kerry Whitehead's home in Rylstone Drive was burgled in the early hours of July 27 and, as well as the family camcorder, the thieves stole a camera, binoculars, garden equipment and a video game.

The camcorder contained a cassette which featured the only footage of Kerry's late grandmother with her newest grandchild. And the stolen camera also included pictures of Kerry's children during the Queen's recent visit to the area.

"The film footage and the pictures in the camera are priceless to us but worthless to anyone else," said Kerry. "Whoever took them - please, please bring them back. The children are really upset. I got a great picture of them close up to the Queen and they were really looking forward to seeing the photographs. We'd also love to see the footage of my baby with my grandmother, who died earlier this year. Unfortunately we weren't insured so we've lost everything but it's the sentimental stuff which we miss most."

Kerry has offered a reward to anyone who can supply information which will lead to the return of her property.

The thieves entered the home via the back door and the camcorder, camera and binoculars were kept together in a black, shoulder bag.

Anyone with information concerning the whereabouts of the property should call the police on 63333.
