SPORTING adventurers from the area who fancy a dirty weekend are heading for Staffordshire's Trentham Gardens on September 12.
The second event in the successful Hi-Tec adventure racing Series has already attracted a number of locals according to organisers.
Teams of three have the chance to compete in a combination of mountain biking, trail running and kayaking as well as taking on "mystery tests" designed by the Parachute Regiment.
Competitors in the mixed event have the chance to win a trip to the finals of the 1999 Hi-Tec Adventure Racing Series in the USA. Other categories include male, female, veteran and corporate teams.
Anybody aged over 16 is invited to pit their wits against celebrities Scott Hastings and Arctic Explorer Sir Ranulph Fiennes and enjoy all the excitement of a dirty weekend!
