WHILE walking down a street near Blackpool town centre on July 23 I passed an old warehouse with bricked-up windows.
I was more than a little surprised to see a landau carriage parked in the entrance and a trailer full of horse manure.
The warehouse door was open and I could see a horse standing inside.
Surely it cannot be lawful to stable a horse in such a totally unsuitable environment.
I may be old fashioned but I was brought up to believe that horses lived in purpose-built stables, down leafy lanes by pastures green.
If the situation I witnessed is lawful, then is it not time the law was changed.
