A MOTORIST was punched, head butted and kicked about the body in an alleged road rage incident on Monday (Aug 2).
Now, police are appealing for witnesses to the road-side attack which took place on the M66 slip-road at Walmersley, Bury.
Detective Sergeant David Maguire of Bury's Crime Management Unit said: "A man has been arrested and charged in relation to the alleged attack but we still need to speak to other motorists who witnessed the incident.
"We know that a number of other vehicles had to drive around the victim's and the attacker's cars while the altercation was taking place."
The road rage attack is believed to have taken place at 6pm. The 36-year-old-male victim was driving a white Fiat Tipo and his alleged attacker a red Vauxhall Nova.
