FAMILIES in Blackburn are asked to extend their famous Northern hospitality to young exchange students from all over the world.
The Foundation for Foreign Study says it has received a record number of application from teenagers wanting to stay in the around the town.
Many have already arrived for a three-week preparation course and need to find host families.
Regional co-ordinator of the EF Foundation said: "The famous hospitality of the North West hasn't been exaggerated.
"Exchange students and their host families often become friends for life."
