ACCRINGTON STANLEY continued their impressive pre-season build up with a 1-0 victory over Runcorn at The Crown Ground on Saturday.

Striker Billy O'Callaghan came off the bench in the second half to bag the decisive goal with his first touch.

Clitheroe fought out a thrilling 2-2 draw with UniBond League outfit Leigh RMI at Shawbridge thanks to goals from Gary Rishton and Carl Greenwood.

And the Blues are in action again tonight when they welcome Manchester League side Whitworth Valley to Shawbridge (kick-off 7.30pm).

And a 30-yard thunderbolt from Darwen boss Steve Wilkes gave Darwen a 1-0 half-time lead against Morecambe at the Anchor Ground before the home side ran out of steam and were eventually beaten 4-1.
