A MANUFACTURING firm has won a clutch of new contracts.
Cakeboards, one of the country's largest makers of cake boards, decorations and sugarcraft equipment, has struck a deal with Hobbycraft.
The Burnley firm will now sell its range of products in Hobbycraft's 16 superstores.
Cakeboards has also signed an exclusive agreement to distribute American cake decorations made by Bakery Craft and to distribute marzipan and sugar paste manufactured by Sefcol to bakers and retailers.
"These three important contracts demonstrate Cakeboards' continuing success,"
said sales and marketing manager John Heester.
"Cakeboards has served the cake manufacturing and sugarcraft industry for more than 50 years and has grown to become one of the most prominent names in the business."
Cakeboards has a turnover of £3.5 million and employs around 100 people.
It was founded in the 1840s and became part of the Boxes Group - which operates a box manufacturing site in Great Harwood - a few years later.
