A FIVE-YEAR-OLD girl collapsed and died after being put under general anaesthetic at a dental surgery in Leyland.
Carla Rose Selley, of Golden Hill Lane, Leyland, was with her mother Tracey when she began suffering breathing difficulties at Towngate Dental Surgery. She was taken to Chorley General Hospital at 4pm yesterday but attempts to revive her failed. A police spokesman said a post-mortem examination revealed the cause of death was asphyxiation. Police were interviewing staff at the surgery today.
