AT THE start of the new season, I have been looking back into history having followed Blackburn Rovers for over 50 years and thought it would be interesting to pick my best Rovers' team of the past since the Second World War.
So here I go: Marks, Newton, Eckersley, Clayton, England, McGrath, Douglas, Sutton, Shearer, Vernon, Langton.
Super subs: Else, Berg, Gallacher and McEvoy. All this team's outfield players can score. England would be up for corners. The side is strong on both flanks and has much strength of team attack.
I look forward to the new season with some hope. However, I would be over the moon if we had started the season with the above team.
