COLIN Todd is suffering injury problems ahead of Bolton Wanderers' Worthington Cup opener at Darlington tonight (7.45pm) and could offer youngster Hasney Aljofree a rare opportunity to blast his way into the first team frame.
The 21-year-old Mancunian made several appearances on the Premiership stage two seasons ago, but only managed one League start last term.
But he managed a place on the bench on Saturday and is likely to figure tonight.
Todd has defenders Gudni Bergsson, Mark Fish and Paul Warhurst all out of the reckoning, as well as hitman Bob Taylor and keeper Steve Banks.
Dean Holdsworth - who is likely to miss the return leg on August 24 after his sending off at Tranmere - is in the squad up front alongside Bo Hansen and Eidur Gudjohnsen.
Squad: Branagan, Cox, Whitlow, Todd, Johansen, Jensen, Holdsworth, Gardner, Gudjohnsen, Hansen, Elliott, Phillips, Frandsen, Aljofree, Strong, Jaaskelain.
