ROSSENDALE Council is to organise a commemorative walk on September 19 to the Top of Leach - the highest point in the borough - to commemorate 25 years of local government.
Members of the public will be able to join the walk at: 12.30pm, Haslingden Library, 12 miles; 1pm Whitworth Museum, eight miles; 1pm Community Centre, Edenfield, eight miles; 1.30pm Royal Hotel, Waterfoot, four miles; 1.30pm Rose 'n' Bowl, Stacksteads, four miles. Each of the five guided walks will be led by a local councillor and, at 3pm, Mayor Coun Alan Neal will unveil the refurbished indicator.
