ACCRINGTON Stanley boss John Coleman has made a triple swoop ahead of Saturday's opening UniBond League fixture at Lincoln United.
Former Morecambe striker Mark Ceraolo has signed from Coleman's former club Ashton United along with utility man Brett Baxter.
And experienced centre forward Stuart Diggle has moved to the Crown Ground from Lancaster City.
That takes Coleman's summer signings into double figures and Stanley spokesman John DeMaine is confident the Reds can make a push for promotion back to the UniBond Premier Division at the first attempt.
"I think the manager has made some very good signings over the summer and these latest three will make the squad even stronger," said DeMaine.
Meanwhile, the UniBond League season will definitely kick-off at the weekend despite the FA's threat to withdraw sanctions following the row over Nationwide Conference rejects Barrow. UniBond officials have until August 22 to accept the Bluebirds, who were kicked out of the Conference becuase of financial problems, otherwise the FA will refuse to sanction the league and its 44 member clubs.
