THE three-man team of Ian Stott, Chris Lee and Shaun Pearson from the Blackburn and District CTC put on an excellent show in the three-stage Ribble Valley Cycling Club Road Race over the weekend.
In the first 50-mile stage at Longridge on Saturday morning, the threesome finished fourth best team from 20 teams entered and went even better in the afternoon by taking second place in the Team Time Trial on a short six-mile course between Longridge and Chipping.
In Sunday's 60-mile stage in the Bowland hills, Ian Stott finished an outstanding second to give himself sixth place overall in the final rankings behind winner Adam Longworth of the Cleveleys Road Club with the Blackburn and District team finishing second best overall.
