IN reply to Mrs Sanderson's letter (Citizen, July 29).

I am a council tenant living in the Brookfield estate and have been in my house for 34 years.

In that time I have seen other estates get double glazing, central heating and modernisation.

But every time Brookfield residents ask when we are going to get the same, we are told that there is no money and that if we hadn't looked after our houses so well then maybe we would get some work done.

Well, I am getting fed up seeing other estates being refurbished all the time and would like to know what is going on behind closed doors at the Town Hall.

Who makes the decisions about these matters? Why are they pumping money into places that have already been helped?
