CAN anyone help us stop youths from playing football on the bowling green and damaging roof of the bowling house at Ribbleton Park, Preston.
We have tried everything. The council repair the fencing, but it is broken again as soon as the repairs are complete.
I have been to the park and asked the youths to leave the green, but I was chased away by them, as they threw stones at me.
I was hit by a stone two weeks age, but we have not retaliated.
We have no greenkeeper and the council say they cannot afford to pay for one, but it is costing more money to repair the damage.
We are just a few pensioners who enjoy a game of bowls.
It took four of us on Tuesday afternoon, to go around the green patching up the divots left by footballers - and there was even damage to the green from golf clubs.
So come on, local councillors, get something done before we lose our green completely.
