EIGHT-month-old Samuel Worsdale is gurgling with delight after being named as Blackpool's top tot.
The youngster is the Bank Hey Street store winner in the Boots Millennium baby competition and has a chance to pitch his infectious smile against other winners in the national final.
Proud mum Cheryl Green (pictured with Sam), from Ivy Avenue, South Shore, admitted she was shocked at Sam's win but is now looking forward to the final judging which takes place at the end of August.
"I decided to enter Sam because he's just so gorgeous. He's always smiling and is a very happy baby," she added. Fiona Holdsworth, sales manager of the Blackpool store, presented Sam with a certificate and a Laa Laa Tellytubby, explaining he had been chosen from 30 entrants all aged under two.
Sam's photograph will now go on to be judged at Boots' head office in Nottingham. Eight finalists will then be invited to spend a weekend at Centre Parcs in Sherwood Forest.
The overall winner will receive a short break at Centre Parcs for six people as well as a baby portrait, a commemorative crystal trophy and lots of Boots goodies. The winner will also appear on the front cover of the Millennium issue of Practical Parenting magazine. The other seven finalists will each receive more than £1,000 worth of prizes.
