HAYDOCK Park could be on course for installing floodlights.
The bold moves follows the growing interest in the tracks evening meetings.
Managing director Richard Thomas said: "Evening racing at Haydock is immensely popular - and we'd like to do it more often to meet customer demand.
"However, people have to dash here from Liverpool and Greater Manchester to make the first race. And then at 9pm we have to tell them 'That's it.'
"Floodlighting is a long-term prospect and it would allow us to run the last three races under the lights."
Meanwhile, Haydock stages its first ever Saturday evening meeting this weekend, with the first race at 5.50.
