POLICE have issued a warning following a series of thefts from washing lines.
DS Tommy Wright said: "People have been leaving expensive, designer label washing hanging out to dry overnight and making easy pickings for thieves who simply climb over garden fences to steal it. Despite the hot weather, people must still make sure all their property is safely in the house overnight."
Police also warned of an increasing number of smeak thefts where people have left their homes insecure while in the back gardens.
