BLACKBURN-based ice skating duo Joanne Birbeck and Ian Kemp scooped a bronze double at the Hull Open.
Joanne, a pupil at Darwen Moorland High School, landed third place in the girls preliminary category while Ian who goes to St Mary's High School in Leyland, also scooped third in the boys novice section.
The event was the penultimate round in a national series and a qualifying round for the British Championships later in the year. The next round takes place in Sunderland in October.
Both train at Blackburn Arena under coach Dawn Spendlove: "We're over the moon for both Joanne and Ian," said Dawn. "They've really done themselves and Blackburn Arena proud.
"The amount of training and preparation these youngsters put in is very admirable and it's great to see them earn recognition for their efforts."
