POLICE entertained kids with a mini-Olympics and quiz as part of a bid to reduce crime and disorder on the Whitebirk estate, Blackburn.
McDonalds funded the events on Tuesday and Wednesday and the Apollo Five Cinema and Waves gave prizes. A mobile police station was also set up at Didsbury Street, Whitebirk, where crime prevention advice, property marking and advice on domestic violence was available.
PC Geoff Chadwick said: "We are working closely with the community to bring about a meaningful reduction in levels of crime and disorder so that people living in the area feel safe and reassured."
