CROWDS flocked to the RSPCA Animal Centre in Altham for a fundraising open day.
The event included a chance to throw wet sponges at the centre's staff, tombola, pony rides, the "Slipped Disc" disco and displays by firefighters and police dog handlers.
Visitors were also allowed to tour the centre's animal shelters and a number were tempted into offering to adopt some of the abandoned cats and dogs.
