MAXIMUM points and a place on top of the Second Diviion table....little wonder David Moyes is a happy manager.
"We are doing very well, it has been a very satisfactory start," said Moyes - and the good judges reckon Preston haven't played at anything like top form yet.
Ex-Rovers striker Peter Thorne stunned Deepdale with a well-taken early goal before two former Clarets combined to fashion an equaliser, Kurt Nogan thumping home a cross from David Eyres.
Eyres was instrumental in setting up North End's winner too, Colin Murdoch heading home with just 10 minutes to go.
Watched by the division's top attendace, 11,465, North End showed plenty of spirit to underline their determination to win promotion via the automatic route this season.
