THE plans to build a new Wembley Stadium have had a mixed reaction .
Many think the Twin Towers - known worldwide - should be left standing and the new stadium built around them.
All well and good, but they were built in a different era - football and supporters have moved on.
The cloth cap image of the 1930s has gone. People demand comfort for their money.
The new stadium will be one of the finest in the world - and will possibly be the envy of many countries. A multi-purpose ground, with better seats, no pillars to spoil the view, more capacity, etc, must be a good thing.
We shouldn't let sentiment stop progress.
