VILLAGERS on the fringe of a beauty spot feared their rural way of life would disappear if planners approved a business enterprise.
More than 80 per cent of the population of Barrow, near Whalley, were against a scheme to build a hotel and conference centre, 20 industrial units and 83 houses on the site of the old Barrow Printworks.
