MARYPORT Close in Blackburn is due for demolition and we have been watching with interest as the gas, electricity and water companies have dug holes in order to isolate these services.
However, as more and more holes have been dug, we have begun to wonder if they are really perforation holes so that when enough have been dug, then Maryport will disappear into a great void.
But, upon reflection, as these holes are not only on the perimeter but scattered around the close, could they perhaps be dot-to-dot?
Are they for more new 'Bee' architecture?
Please tell us that they are not an extension of the male nude statue near the motorway exit and that all will be revealed later.
