CLEANERS at Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council brushed up on their studies to achieve a prestigious national qualification.
Direct services department staff have passed their National Vocational Qualification level one in building cleaning.
The course looked at areas such as health and safety and service delivery.
They received their certificates from Mayor, Coun Salas Kiani and direct services chairman Coun Dave Smith at Blackburn Town Hall. The successful candidates, who work at schools throughout the borough can move on to level two which concentrates on the safe cleaning of machinery.
