ANOTHER milestone has been reached in the production of the Eurofighter Typhoon.
The first set of wing and fuselage brackets has been delivered to Spanish aerospace firm Casa in Madrid, one of the four partners in the programme.
The delivery, the first of 620 sets, was made on schedule, despite a number of problems which hit the bracket development.
The brackets are made of titanium and each set is worth about £100,000.
"Everyone who has been involved in this can take tremendous pride in the fact that these components were manufactured 'right first time' and delivered on schedule" said Andy Tuton, product leader.
