MORE than a third of Lancashire businesses are putting their future and that of employees at risk by failing to tackle the Millennium Bug, according to a survey.
An alarming 35 per cent of those questioned said they had taken very little action to prepare themselves for any problems.
"The latest research is very alarming and we would urge everyone in the business community to ensure they have planned for any eventualities," said Gwynneth Flower, managing director of Action 2000.
Of firms questioned in the North West, 43 per cent had undertaken reviews and had contingency plans in place, a further 13 per cent said they had begun planning but more than a third had done nothing.
