ARRAN Thompson of Barnoldswick top scored with an unbeaten 97 for the England and Wales Cricket Board Women's Development squad against an ECB South XI.
But their total of 200-3 fell way short of their opponents' 239-2 at Glynde CC, Sussex.
However, on a tour centered around Dublin which followed, the ECB Development squad team enjoyed two victories over their Ireland Development squad counterparts, and they also enjoyed a victory over the Ireland Under 19s team in a full international fixture.
Arran was again unbeaten on 51 as the visitors beat the Ireland Development squad by 112 in the second match of the tour.
