KIRSTY Taylor boosted her chances of a top 20 finish in the European Order of Merit after an impressive performance in the Weetabix British Women's Open.
The 28-year-old Clitheroe ace conquered the tough conditions at Woburn to finish 16th - just seven shots behind defending champion American Sherri Steinhauer.
Taylor is now 21st in the overall order of merit and can muscle her way into the top 20 with another classy display in the Compaq Open currently being played in Stockholm, Sweden.
Just two weeks ago she finished 27th in the European Championships at Gleneagles to underline her growing reputation on the professional circuit.
And a top 20 finish in the order of merit by the end of the season would confirm her place among Europe's most consistent pros.
