AFTER the celebrations away from home on Saturday, Tuesday's game at Irongate proved to be a more subdued affair as Droylsden romped home 3-1 winners.
Brig took the lead as early as the fifth minute with Nigel Greenwood scoring from close range, and it looked like they were picking up where they left off on Saturday.
But on 30 minutes, the tide turned when Mick Jones curled home a free kick from 20 yards.
Despite continued effort from Brig, Steve Aspinall was unlucky not to score on two occasions.
But the visitors found the net four minutes into the second half when Craig Dootson failed to collect a cross and Andy Green headed the ball home.
The night's work was over when Green grabbed his second of the game with six minutes left on the clock.
