COULD I alert your readers to a truly hidden treasure in Lancaster under mortal threat.
I was told about the Therapeutic Horticultural Gardens at the Moor Hospital and with great difficulty found them.
What a joy! Beautiful working flower and vegetable gardens over extensive grounds. The patients and workers have immense and justifiable pride in these once desolate gardens, now bursting with the best and freshest of produce. The quality of this produce is outstanding and the prices a gift. Do go and visit them, you won't be disappointed.
But be quick, they are being relocated to a grotty, postage-stamp sized area. Obviously, the profits from developers are far more important than the healing properties to the patients.
Shame I say and I urge your readers to go and judge for themselves. I wish I had earlier, it's a gem!
