COUNTY Councillor Brian Johnson highlighted how important Lancashire Police's drink drive campaign is - by testing one of their breathalysers.
The campaign aims to make people more aware of the dangers of drink driving, although there has been a significant success in reducing the number of people killed in drink drive-related accidents over the last 15 years.
County Coun Johnston, deputy chairman of highways and transportation, said: "I am delighted to support the dummer drink drive campaign.
"It is encouraging to find research has shown that Lancashire drivers who have been stopped at a police checkpoint have better attitudes to drink-driving than other Lancashire drivers."
