A TOWN centre dentist practice has unexpectedly closed.
Ill health has forced the temporary closure of Adrian Allison's dental surgery at 34 Lord Street, Leigh.
A Wigan and Bolton health Authority spokesman said: "The Authority has a responsibility to ensure continuation of dental services and, as Mr Allison worked on his own the practice has closed until further notice, has written to all existing patients informing them of temporary arrangements."
Patients in the middle of a course of treatment will be seen by Sue Connolly at 14 King Street, Leigh to completion.
"Existing patients can choose any other dentist in the area. This is purely temporary until the situation is resolved," said the spokesman.
