IT'S "adios" to work and England for breakfast chef Lillian Tawse.

And "hola" to sunshine and retirement .

After 14 years of cooking for the guests at Leigh's Greyhound Hotel, Lillian of Astley, is trading in her chef's hat for a sun hat.

Lillian has cooked around 135,000 breakfasts while at the Greyhound and has had to regularly start work at 4am - a time when most of us are either in bed or coming in from a night on the town!

At a send-off party with her friends and colleagues, Lillian admitted that she would miss everybody and that they were "a great crowd to work with".

Lucky Lillian is looking forward to her new life on the Costa del Sol with her husband, Gordon, and her granddaughter.

But Lillian denies the rumours circulating among her colleagues that she is opening up a b'n'b for Greyhound staff!
