TWO teenagers were air-lifted to hospital after they fell around 12 feet on to a disused railway line at Read.
They had been riding their bikes with a friend when they rode on a path leading to a disused railway bridge off Whalley Road near to Dunkirk Farm at 3pm yesterday.
However, the bridge had been removed and the boys fell on to the line.
Their friend went to raise the alarm and paramedics from Burnley and Nelson, as well as the air ambulance, were called in.
Michael Galleski, 13, of Pendle Street, Great Harwood, suffered facial injuries and Paul Wilson, 15, suffered wrist and leg injuries.
Both were conscious throughout. Today Paul was in a stable condition and Michael was "comfortable" in Burnley General Hospital.
