COULD readers help me as I have hit a brick wall regarding my ancestors?

My grandfather, Hamlet Parker, who was born in 1875 at 7 Hill Street, Accrington, and married Emily French in 1900, had siblings who were Betsy Ann, born 1874 at 4 South Shore Street, Church; John William, born 1877 at 60 Grange Street, Accrington; Martha Alice, born 1882 at 9 Robert Nuttall Street, Accrington, and Clara, born 1889 at 59 Maden Street, Church.

Hamlet's father, James Parker, was born in 1849 at Churchbridge, Church, and married Mary Ann Heyes in 1873.

James' father, Peter Parker, was born in 1819 at Accrington and married Betty Chadwick in 1844.

Peter's father, Peter Parker, was born in 1777 at Worsthorne, Burnley, and married Nancy Robertshaw in 1801 at Accrington or Burnley.

His father was a William Parker, who may have been William Parker of Briercliffe, who married Betty Heyworth at St Peter's Burnley, in 1765; or William Parker who married Sarah Clegg there in 1770; or William Parker who married Susannah Witham - both being from Extwistle - at St Peter's in 1773.

I hope someone will be able to help me get further back. Cleggs may have been in the family.
