A NEW, more easily accessible entrance to Accrington police station was officially opened by Hyndburn Mayor Coun Bernard Dawson.
The entrance on Spring Gardens has been being enlarged and redesigned to make it more comfortable for the public. The inquiry window has been moved and automatic doors have been installed. Work to improve the lobby began in March and the new entrance has been in use for the past few weeks.
Sergeant Brian Hopwood of Accrington police said: "The aim was to make the inquiry office more comfortable. We hope this work has not caused people too much inconvenience."
