RUMOURS were denied that Souplex plastic moulding factory on Northgate is closing down.
Workers contacted The Citizen convinced the factory - employing more than 200 people - was closing.
But managing director Malcolm Holmes said: "Somebody is trying to stir up something but there is no truth whatever in this. There is obviously some sort of misunderstanding."
Moll Industries which bought Souplex at the end of March, have another factory in Gloucester. An office worker there, who asked not to be named, said workers at that plant had been told an announcement would be made at the end of the month.
