A LANDSCAPING firm has won a major contract. Blackburn-based Park View Landscape Management has secured the contract at the Kings Business Park on Merseyside.

The park, a £30 million 50-acre development at Knowsley, is a joint venture between Enterprise plc and Westbury.

"Park View is a company with a proven track record of landscape and maintenance work and has a history of producing results for some of the North West's biggest developments," said Andrew Dewhurst, of Enterprise.

"I am confident that the company will play a part in helping to attract new investment into Merseyside."

Family-run Park View Landscape Maintenance, which started 34 years ago, will be responsible for the general works at the park. A team of four employees will be responsible for work there.

The firm carries out landscaping and general grounds maintenance work for more than 700 pubs, hotels and factories throughout the North West and Scotland.

"This is a significant business gain for us," said director Robert Brooks.

"We have been working hard on Merseyside to build a bigger business base and this latest news is positive proof that we are starting to achieve our aim."
