THE domestic life of the artisan in early nineteenth century Lancaster will be explored in a special guided tour of the Cottage Museum on Castle Hill, which takes place on August 20.
Originally part of a larger house built in 1739, the museum is housed in a cottage which was created when the building was divided around 1825 and the furnishings and objects depict the everyday life of the cottage's residents around that time.
Led by Dr Andrew White, the City Museum's Curator, the tour begins at 11am starting from the Lancaster Tourist Information Centre.
Numbers are limited to 12 per tour and tickets are available from the Tourist Information Centre on 32878.
