AN 18-year-old student has received a community award for work in and around Billinge.
Neil Sexton, of Ellis Road, Billinge, was one of 170 to receive certificates from the Billinge Youth and Community Enterprise Project (BYCEP), but he also received a special award for his outstanding commitment to the community.
Youngsters were rewarded in recognition of volunteer work ranging from a litter-pick to girls football and rugby and youth work. Certificates were also given to BYCEP's volunteers for their work over the past 12 months.
