A ST HELENS company has beaten more than 750 of the UK's biggest companies to gain a premier award by helping utility giant Scottish Power save millions.
Crank-based management consultants and training specialists, Brian Farrington Limited, collected two coveted National Training Awards for an innovative training package developed for Scottish Power's purchasing function.
The company developed a 12-day training package focusing on purchasing strategy in a contract worth £60,000 and Scottish Power has estimated the training has led to millions of pounds of bottom-line savings.
Managing director, Brian Farrington, commented: "The award has generated publicity and opportunity for both the company and St Helens. It has propelled the company into an international market and is an incredible accolade for a St Helens company.
