LANCASHIRE Lynx play their penultimate game of the season tomorrow at Spotland against fellow strugglers Oldham.

This is a game that Lynx must win if they are to avoid finishing the season in the bottom two.

After last week's bruising encounter with Leigh, coach Steve Hampson will be missing Dave Ratcliffe who damaged ankle tendons whilst others are nursing a collection of bumps and bruises, but they should be fit.

Long-term absentee Paul Norton could also make a return on the subs' bench.

Oldham, like Lynx, have struggled all season in the lower reaches of the league, but they will also be determined not to finish in the bottom two. A good form guide is the fact they have also played Widnes and Leigh recently and were beaten 84-0 and 66-6.

Last weekend Oldham went down to a home defeat at the hands of Bramley, their eighth defeat in nine games and their only victory came against bottom club Doncaster. But they possess a powerful pack with Irish international Leo Casey being ably supported by John Hough and Jason Clegg in the front row, whilst the back row consists of veteran ex-Great Britain international Paul Round and Welsh international Mark Perrett.

Lynx will line-up: Roberts, Parsley, Murray, Abram, David Jones, Alexander, Flanagan, Horton, Bennett, Prest, Solomon, Walsh, Hodgkinson. Subs (from): Danny Jones, Geritas, Fisher, Gee, Norton, Gildart.
