NELSON came away from New Sirs with a point when they should really have taken all three in this First North Western Trains League Second Division clash.
The Blues gifted Daisy Hill the opening goal with a defensive blunder after 20 minutes when they tried to pass the ball across their own penalty area.
Craig Hope took full advantage as he fired a crisp left footer past Rob Molloy and into the far corner of the net.
Nelson created plenty of chances and deserved a penalty for a blatant handball just before half time, but the referee waved aside their appeals.
In the first minute of the second half mark Robinson levelled the scores when he ran onto a Les Thompson pass and found the bottom corner of the net with his shot.
John Bailey's side had much the better of the second half and looked sure to grab the winner, but the nearest they came was when Robinson's header struck the crossbar and Colin Wright followed up to head over the goal.
